Clinical Supervision
Overview
Rainbow Health recognizes the importance of developing the next generation of behavioral health professionals in Hawai’i. Our Clinical Supervision program provides structured guidance for MSW graduates, licensed social workers (LSWs), and other emerging clinicians pursuing advanced licensure. Supervisors are seasoned professionals with extensive practice experience in trauma-informed care, case management, and community-based behavioral health. Sessions are designed to help clinicians build confidence, refine skills, and strengthen ethical decision-making in complex cases. By investing in the professional growth of Hawai’i’s behavioral health workforce, this program not only supports individual careers but also ensures a stronger, more sustainable system of care for the community.
In addition to supporting licensure requirements, the program plays a crucial role in workforce development, building a pipeline of highly skilled, culturally competent mental health professionals ready to serve Hawai’i’s diverse population and/or individuals/families who face barriers to consistent mental health services. Participants leave supervision not only with the technical skills and confidence to grow their careers, but also with the ability to make a meaningful impact on their communities. By addressing workforce shortages and increasing access to culturally responsive care, Rainbow Health’s Clinical Supervision program contributes to a stronger and more sustainable mental health system for the state.
