About Us

Rainbow Health is a Hawaii-based organization dedicated to advocacy, education, and mental health support for individuals and families affected by mental illness. We work to raise awareness, foster understanding, and expand access to essential resources so that everyone can get the care they deserve. Guided by our core values of hope, inclusion, empowerment, compassion, fairness, and integrity, we serve youth and adults across the islands through counseling, case management, medication management, and clinical supervision. By addressing both immediate needs and long-term wellbeing, we're building a more inclusive, supportive community for all.

Chief Operating Officer
Trenna is a seasoned public health and nonprofit leader with over 15 years of experience strengthening behavioral health, emergency management, and homeless services programs throughout Hawaii. A Honolulu native with a master's in public health, her leadership is defined by a commitment to community engagement and a proven track record of impact, including securing over $15 million in federal grants and overseeing more than $1 billion in grants from federal, state, and private foundations. Alexandra Taira is a nonprofit leader with expansive experience in homeless services, systems coordination, and community-driven initiatives. As Director of Supportive Services at Rainbow Health, she oversees programs that strengthen service delivery, enhance cross-sector collaboration, and improve outcomes for individuals experiencing complex health and social needs. Originally from Washington, DC, JaiAnn holds a BA in Africana Cultural Studies with a minor in Oceanic Studies from California State University, Northridge, and brings experience in nonprofit and behavioral health work serving families and communities. Her background includes CCS Case Management and creative work with the Awareness Film Festival, supporting storytelling rooted in social justice and environmental care. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus on trauma and family systems, JaiAnn approaches her role as a CIS Case Manager with a commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive care shaped by intergenerational wisdom.

She brings a strong background in logistics from her military service, along with hospitality volunteer experience with church and community entities, as well as experience in social work, including case management, crisis intervention, and community outreach.

Clinical Social Work Intern

Madison (Madi) is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Social Worker with a background in behavioral health. She has experience working with low-income populations, assisting individuals transitioning from hospital stays, and supporting those struggling with substance use. Madi has both undergraduate and graduate-level experience in the child welfare system and care coordination, and has also worked as a behavioral technician with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

BSW Practicum Student University of Hawaii

I am a junior Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, currently completing my field placement with Rainbow Health Hawaii. My long-term goal is to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) and continue growing as a clinician working with children, families, and couples. I believe that strengthening the family unit is essential not only for the well-being of each individual, but also for the health and resilience of our broader community. I am passionate about creating supportive, affirming spaces where individuals and families feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Kaleigh Flores

BSW Practicum Student University of Hawaii
Kaleigh is a senior student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work. She previously completed a 305-hour internship at Bobby Benson Continuum of Care, an outpatient substance use treatment program. Her areas of interest include community-based behavioral health and learning more about how social work organizations operate. She is also a member of Air Force ROTC and plans to commission as an oMicer in 2027. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, working out, and being outdoors.
